“The most curative factor in therapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist. Therefore, I strive to create a safe environment where you can feel safe to explore both past and present events that are holding you back from attaining your dreams.”

Founder, Bridgeview Counseling

As Naperville couples counseling experts who specialize in marriage counseling and couples therapy, we can teach you how to improve your relationship using techniques backed by research. We utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Gottman method, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and other couples counseling methods to ensure the most effective results. Our couples counseling experts can help you and your partner learn the tools that you need to have the kind of relationship you want – and are available for online couples therapy.

Bridgeview is for you.

Mental health care should be an affirming and energizing part of your routine even though the work itself can be hard at times. We built our Naperville counseling practice on services that fit our community’s needs, which means we offer therapy in English and Spanish, family and couples counseling, therapy for kids and teletherapy. All of our services are 100% HIPAA compliant and confidential.

Our staff of diverse therapists are great at helping you understand your own experiences and supporting you with making positive changes in your life. We’ll gently challenge you to grow with strategies and exercises you can do in between sessions that you’ll find useful even after our work together is done.

Marriage does not mean having the same opinions, experiences or behaviors as your spouse. It means making a commitment to love each other for who you are as individuals, support each other as partners and explore what a healthy relationship looks like together. Even in a romantic relationship, there are more than two sides to any given situation. We help partners see things from each other’s point of view and identify other influences that may be adding pressure to the relationship, including things like how depression affects relationships, childhood experiences and trauma, differing and ineffective communication staples and differences in love languages

Family therapy addresses patterns of interaction between family members and explores factors that influence those interactions and dynamics. Families develop awareness and strategies to shift away from dysfunctional patterns into healthy and meaningful experiences that create stronger bonds. Our family therapists help each individual to understand the skills they need to have good relationships and help negotiate roles so everyone can feel valued and supported. Therapy is a safe place to talk about sensitive topics; we make sure you have the space to both listen and be heard while keeping sight of what family means to you and your loved ones.

We started offering telehealth services at Bridgeview years before the coronavirus pandemic in order to make our services more accessible for clients who aren’t always able to visit in person. Telehealth has made it possible for us to serve people in rural areas, people with disabilities, stay-at-home parents and those with lifestyles that restrict access to in-person services. Our telehealth platform is HIPAA compliant and we’re mindful of your privacy and safety. Our therapists will work with you to identify safe spaces to receive therapy and can help you schedule appointments accordingly.

We are excited to announce that we are now offering telehealth services in both Illinois and Arizona.
