Audra completed the Master of Social Work program at Aurora University and is a highly-trained and experienced therapist. She works with individuals and families experiencing mental health needs, including acute needs such as trauma/complex trauma, PTSD, parent-teen issues and relationships.
Audra brings a fresh perspective to her clients by working with the whole person to create lifelong skills for achieving new goals. She is also experienced working with juveniles and supporting first-time parents through the new tasks of parenthood. At Bridgeview, Audra is available for individualized counseling for those who have experienced trauma, especially due to systematic racism, inequality or physical or emotional abuse, or needs based on other life transitions.
When working with Audra, patients can expect components from many therapeutic techniques to find the best solution for each client. The most common practices Audra utilizes are evidence-based therapies, including CBT/cognitive restructuring, somatic experiencing, systems theory, and empowerment theory.
Audra has worked with tweens, teens, and adults of all ages. Her philosophy stems from a quote by C.S. Lewis that says, “You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” Audra believes that it is never too late to begin your healing journey and is excited to design an individualized path towards wellness with each client.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, doing yoga, and learning new ways to help her clients.
At Bridgeview, you’re not just a number or a diagnosis. We want you to feel validated and heard so our work together will make a lasting impact on your life.
